Global Missions Lunch - Alyssa Alderman & Abigail Mayer

August 19th, 2018

Two members of our church, Alyssa Alderman and Abigail (Abby) Mayer, are serving as missionaries both near and far. Abby is on staff with Cru serving as a team leader - reaching college students for Christ in our own backyard! Denver Cru is also committed to sending staff and students on global missions, and Abby gives leadership for the US “sending” to South Asia. Alyssa supports Young Life staff in Africa and the Middle East in their mission to introduce teenagers to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. She does this by building connections with sponsors who partner with the mission to see a gospel movement in this region of the world.

We invite you to come enjoy lunch, share fellowship, and hear about what God is doing all over the world and how you can be involved! Join us for a lunch on August 19 immediately following the second service (about 12:15pm) in the Sherman Room. Childcare for children 6 mos.-5th grade is provided. Please register your children here.

Summer of Service: Visiting with Older Adults through Bessie's Hope

August 20th, 2018

Bessie's Hope enhances the quality of life for nursing home and assisted living older adults by building rewarding relationships with members of the community. Join the Cherry Creek Women's Fellowship Group as they visit with residents of the Chateau Des Mons assisted living home in Englewood. Bessie's Hope will facilitate singing, dancing, and fun activities among Fellowship's volunteers and the elder residents. We encourage volunteers to bring children of all ages to participate.

Project Leader: Kelly Knechtel
Location: 3426 South Marion St., Englewood, CO 80113
Volunteer need: 10-15. This project is open to volunteers of all ages. Children under 16 should be accompanied by at least one parent or adult.

Do you know of a local organization that has practical needs that can be met by Fellowship Denver volunteers? We are looking for more service opportunities in July and August. Contact Jill Anschutz for more information (

Vision for Life - The Bible

August 22nd - August 29th, 2018

Every Sunday at Fellowship we teach from the Bible. We call it “God’s Word” and are encouraged to study it, meditate on it and trust it. But what is the Bible really? In what ways is the ancient document actually God’s Word?

If you’ve ever wondered about the origins of the Bible, how it was compiled, and why followers of Jesus trust it, we invite you to be a part of Vision for Life this August. We’ll learn together the important historical background of the Bible as well as practical ways God continues to use the Scriptures to draw us closer to Him.

Lights refreshments provided.
Childcare available for 6 mos-5th grade. Please register your child(ren) here.
